The tour kicked off on June 19 at the Chavez Theatre in El Paso, Texas, and runs through Nov. 27 at the Congress Theater in Chicago. Highlights of the tour include July 29-31 at Capt. Brien’s Off The Hook Comedy Club in Marco Island, Fla., and the Silver Legacy Casino in Reno, Nev., on Nov. 20.

The 17-city Eddie Griffin tour is also dominated by the Improv Comedy Club, with stops in San Jose, Calif.; Cleveland; Pittsburgh; West Palm Beach; Miami; Tampa; Orlando; Houston; and Addison, Texas.

The funnyman offers a few pearls of wisdom throughout the flick, including “If you’re gonna talk the talk, you gotta walk the walk.  Otherwise you’ll be lined in chalk.”

Griffin’s other lines include don’t write checks you can’t cash, let your play speak for you and do your homework – all sensible suggestion for a player.
